The aims of the Society

Our aims are based on those of the Civic Voice. We hope to fulfil those ideals at a local level.

We are an independent voluntary group with a growing membership including local schools. We aim to ensure that residents and visitors alike are able to enjoy Hunstanton and the surrounding villages and countryside.

Our primary aims
monitor local authority and other agency proposals that would affect our community. Monitor publicly provided services and amenities to ensure the provision of high quality solutions

influence public opinion concerning planning, conservation, restoration, and environmental issues

protect local features of historical interest

promote high standards of planning and architecture and civic pride

Ensure the conservation of fine buildings and the best appearance of our communities and the local environment so that they maintain their special character and appeal to visitors

Foster interest in the local past, present and future and create opportunities for those who share our interests to meet and mix together

Work with all representative groups and encourage people of all ages to work together to achieve the best for our community.

Distribute publicity regarding local campaigns, future events and topical news.

Provide opportunities to involve all who share our common interest in what is best for our community without regard for age, ethnicity, religion, politics, occupation or status.

Although essentially a local community interest society membership is open to all who will help us achieve our aims and objectives whatever their place of residence.
